A Global Chronicle of The Unknown Continued
Chapter 8: The Southern Cross
Sydney’s Hard Rock Cafe woke up to find all its famous guitars replaced with inflatable kangaroos wearing tiny “You have been pranked” sashes. The menu offered “Shrimp on the Barbie… But It’s Rubber.” A calling card was left in every tip jar.
In Melbourne, an old English-style pub found every beer tap pouring bright purple liquid and the menu renamed after famous Australian pranks. The owner laughed and left a sign up: “Fair dinkum, you got us.”
The Unknown was clearly having fun Down Under.
Chapter 9: The African Beat
Johannesburg’s Hard Rock Cafe discovered its memorabilia swapped with cheap tourist knockoffs from Bangkok. A popular English pub in Cape Town found all its signs reversed and the beer taps pouring strange colors — one batch neon green, another electric blue.
A calling card was left on every table.
In Nairobi, an Irish bar woke up to find every Guinness glass etched with “You have been pranked” and the menu offering “Mongolian Prank Stew” — a suspicious lamb dish that tasted suspiciously like it had been seasoned with Boston humor.
Chapter 10: South American Samba
Rio de Janeiro’s Hard Rock Cafe found all its guitars replaced with inflatable parrots. Buenos Aires saw its English pubs hit with swapped menus and colored drinks. A calling card appeared in every coat pocket.
The Unknown was truly global now.
Chapter 11: The Crew Reacts
Back in Boston, the crew gathered at the Rusty Nail for an emergency meeting.
James Brogan held up a stack of cards. “Whoever this is, they’re hitting every bar we’ve ever mentioned. And some we haven’t.”
Major John Rush chuckled. “This is better than the old days. They’ve got style.”
Dave the Hamster popped out of Brogan’s pocket. “I want in! I can ride on Marmalade’s back and plant cards in high places!”
Marmalade flicked his tail. “As long as there’s fish involved, I’m game.”
Vinny “The Weasel” Capello wandered in. “If they hit the Velvet Lounge, I’m sending my boys after them. But I have to admit… it’s funny.”
Bat Gan Temujin, visiting from Mongolia, raised a glass. “In the steppe we have great respect for tricksters. This Unknown has honor.”
Chapter 12: The Unknown’s Masterstroke
The pranks reached their peak in late summer.
The Hard Rock Cafe in Tokyo woke up to find all its memorabilia replaced with inflatable sumo wrestlers. Singapore’s English pubs found every menu item renamed after famous Asian pranks. A ladyboy bar in Pattaya received a shipment of Boston baked beans with notes: “A taste of home.”
Even the Irish Bar in Ulaanbaatar got hit again — the Guinness taps poured bright blue beer, and a calling card was pinned to the bar with a small Mongolian flag.
No one could find The Unknown.
But the calling cards kept appearing.
Chapter 13: The Open Road
The game continued.
Bars in Reykjavik, Cape Town, Buenos Aires, and Auckland all received the same card.
The Unknown was everywhere and nowhere.
In Boston, Brogan stared at a new card that had appeared on his desk overnight.
The game is only beginning. The road is long. The banner flies. – The Unknown
Brogan smiled into his whiskey.
The Prank Wars had entered a new golden age.
And somewhere out there, a new legend was still writing the next chapter — one prank, one bar, one continent at a time.
To Be Continued...
